To configure the KMS host computer to activate Office, you must be a member of the Administrators group on the KMS host computer. However, the message on top of the Office applications are still: (Product Activation Failed). I added my computer to the account in File/Office Account (using Manage Account). I don't have a Product Key (or the one I had is/was invalid, I don't know). The message I see is: "This product is unlicensed.The problem with Pro Plus versions of Office is that when initially installed they do not create an Office Account from where you can reinstall Office unlike retail versions of Office 2013/2016/2019 and Office 365, which do have an Office Account. I have a Product ID (the 25 character thing) for Office 2019 Pro. It's been running on a laptop for OVER two YEARS. Worked fine. I recently had to re-install Windows 10 Pro on the laptop. I then took the file I had for the Product key and downloaded Office 2019. It worked EXACTLY the way it did when I originally downloaded it. EXCEPT. I can'tThen you enter your Microsoft account first. Then enter the product key in the column provided. Of course, if you have entered the number correctly, your MS Office 2013 will automatically be activated and can be used. However, if the pop-up does not appear, you can go to the account menu in the MS Word or Excel application.
