I just feel the aluminum sets it off better than the black. Anyways, I changed that today when I swapped out my ST3 headlights today with some Focus Electric headlights. They are exactly the same as the ST3 but are aluminum inside instead of black. Direct swap. Takes about 15 minutes for installation. Now I'm content with the way the car looks. Its easier to install the ballast with straight plug. The input wire from headlight housing to the ballast is the same, though. So you need ballast, cables, and bulbs. Ballasts need to be from a focus, cables and bulbs are universal as long as theyre d3s. Heres a listing for used ballasts currently for 22 dollars a piece.
