If the Eureka unit is the universal Defender / Discovery 1 Land Rover part it is just a plug in replacement unit for the "Smart Spider" no need to cut or modify the harness except for the feed wires. (Located under the centre of the dash ) View attachment 164335. You could just replace the unit with the spider bypass which retail under £10.
I could make standalone immobiliser for ecu, I have keyfob, reader ring, 5as box and wires but there is so many wires coming from 5as and many of them splits. There must be way to bypass immobiliser in rover 25 ecu. Or i could make stand alone immobiliser for ecu, but dont know how. Or maybe I could use rover 25 ecus fuel maps in freelander 1 ecu.
This is the Land Rover Defender immobiliser / security control unit found behind the speaker on the dashboard, the unit is held in with 2 x torx screws, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO REMOVE THE WHOLE DASHBOARD. We cannot send you a new replacement unit until you have sent us your original unit. A new unit requires security programming to the vehicle.

Basically 1 out of every 4 times that I unlock my doors using my remote, the engine won't turn over. All I get is that awful red led shining in my face (solid). If I then get out and lock then unlock my doors using the key in the driver's
landyandy30. through some investigation, i have found there is an easy way to bypass the disco immobiliser, wanted to share this as its a lot easier than stripping down the dash board to get to the top of the heater matrix to find the faulty box of trix.
